2. Description of Service

Live Compass is a free, client-side web utility that provides compass heading, tilt measurement, GPS instruments, distance and bearing calculations, and celestial (sun and moon) position data. All calculations are performed locally in your browser. The Site does not require account registration and does not store user data on any server.

3. Navigation Reliability Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, Live Compass is provided for informational and educational purposes only. The compass heading, GPS coordinates, and celestial calculations displayed by the Site are estimates and should not be relied upon as the sole means of navigation. Factors including but not limited to magnetic interference, atmospheric conditions, device hardware quality, and user error may affect accuracy. You should always carry a backup navigation method (such as a physical compass, paper map, or dedicated GPS device) when navigating in remote or hazardous areas. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from reliance on information provided by this Site.

4. Device Sensor Hardware Variance

Live Compass relies on device hardware sensors including magnetometers, accelerometers, and GPS receivers. The accuracy and availability of these sensors vary significantly between devices, manufacturers, and operating systems. Some devices may lack certain sensors entirely. We do not guarantee that all features will function on all devices. Sensor accuracy may degrade over time due to hardware aging, magnetic interference, or environmental factors. You are responsible for ensuring your device's sensors are properly calibrated and functioning.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

The SunCalc library used by this Site is licensed under the MIT License by Vladimir Agafonkin.

7. Third-Party Services

The Site uses Google AdSense for advertising and Google Fonts for typography. These services are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
